Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and True Alignment Press LLC, doing business as TrueAlignmentBooks.com, a Kentucky limited liability company (“True Alignment Books,” “we,” “us” or “our”). They apply to truealignmentbooks.com, our ebooks, calculators, Vault tools, videos and memberships (together, the “Products”). By using the site or buying a Product, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or the Products.

1. Who may use the site

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to buy a Product or open a membership. The site is not directed to children under 13.

2. What we sell

We publish personal finance education. Our Products are digital only: interactive ebooks with built-in calculators, PDF copies of each ebook, the Master Investment Account Plan calculator, printable and interactive Vault tools, setup videos, and memberships that include some of these items. Nothing is shipped.

Our Products teach general methods for budgeting, saving and building your own accounts. We do not provide financial, investment, tax or legal advice, we do not open, hold, move or manage money or accounts for anyone, and we do not recommend any specific investment, bank, broker or account. Please read our Disclaimer before you buy.

The Master Investment Account Plan is sold only together with, or after, at least one other plan ebook, because it joins your other plans together.

3. Orders, payment and our reseller

Our orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our online reseller and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy handles checkout, payment, sales tax or VAT, receipts and billing, and your purchase is also governed by the Lemon Squeezy Buyer Terms. The charge may appear on your statement under Lemon Squeezy’s name. We create and license the Products and provide support for them.

Prices are shown in US dollars on the store page at the time you buy. Launch prices, bundles, member pricing and other offers are shown at checkout. Offers do not combine: when more than one could apply, the larger one is used. We may change prices or offers at any time, but a change never affects an order already placed.

4. Delivery

Right after checkout you receive an email with your download links. You can download your files again from that email. Please keep a copy of your files on your own device. Calculators run in your own browser, and anything you save with “Save my plan” is stored on your own device, not on our servers.

Setup videos are streamed from our video host. Where a Product page says a video is “coming soon,” the video is not included until it is released.

5. Memberships and automatic renewal

Memberships are offered monthly, every 3 months or yearly. The price and billing period are shown before you pay. Your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price then shown, and your payment method is charged until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from the link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt email or by writing to help@truealignmentbooks.com. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your membership stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. We send a reminder email before each 3-month and yearly renewal. If we change a membership price, we will tell you by email before the new price applies, and it applies only from your next renewal.

Items included with a membership (Vault tools, ebooks or the calculator) are yours to keep after the membership ends. Member pricing ends when the membership ends.

6. Refunds

7-day money-back guarantee. Purchases made at full price or at the launch price can be refunded within 7 days of purchase. This includes the first payment of a membership. Write to help@truealignmentbooks.com with your order number.

Bundles and other discounted purchases (for example, buy 2 get 1 free, member pricing and half-price offers) are final sale, as stated at checkout. Membership renewal payments are not refunded, but you can cancel at any time before the next renewal. Where the law where you live gives you further rights, those rights apply.

Lemon Squeezy, as our reseller, may also issue refunds under its Buyer Terms. If you have a problem with an order, please contact us first so we can fix it quickly; most issues are solved the same day.

7. Your license to use the Products

All Products are original works owned by True Alignment Press LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. When you buy a Product, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for yourself and your household. You may print copies of worksheets and pages for your own use.

You may not copy, share, resell, give away, upload, post publicly, or distribute any Product or download link; share a membership or login; remove copyright notices; or use the Products to create competing products or to train artificial intelligence systems. We may end your license, without refund, if you break these rules. When your license ends, you must delete your copies.

8. Calculators and examples

Our calculators and worksheets do math on the numbers you enter. Results are estimates, not promises, and depend on the accuracy of your inputs and on assumptions such as rates of return, withdrawal rates, inflation and taxes, which you can change. Examples in our books, videos and site use sample numbers to explain the method. Please check results yourself and with a licensed professional before you act.

9. Acceptable use

Please do not misuse the site: do not try to break or overload it, get around access to paid Products, scrape it, or use it for anything unlawful.

10. Third-party sites and services

The site links to services we do not control, such as Lemon Squeezy, our email service and our video host. We are not responsible for their content or practices; their own terms and privacy policies apply.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Products and site are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Products will meet your goals, that any account will reach any balance, or that the site will always be available or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, True Alignment Press LLC and its owners, authors and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any investment, trading or financial losses, arising from your use of the site or Products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Product involved in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

13. Indemnity

You agree to cover our losses and reasonable costs if a claim is brought against us because you broke these Terms or misused a Product.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and applicable US federal law. Before filing any claim, please write to us so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Any claim that is not resolved will be heard only in the state or federal courts located in Kentucky, and you and we consent to those courts, except that either of us may bring a claim in small claims court where it qualifies.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes apply to purchases made after the update; an order already placed is governed by the Terms in effect when you bought it.

16. General

If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer are the whole agreement between you and us about the site and Products.
